Chicago cannot stay affordable unless we build more housing.
Bill supports more housing throughout the First Ward, especially near transit, while streamlining permitting and modernizing outdated zoning rules. More homes mean more affordability, more opportunity, and more people able to stay in the neighborhoods they love.
The First Ward should remain welcoming, vibrant, and within reach for residents of every income and background.
Supporting Small Business
Strong neighborhoods start with strong local businesses.
As a restaurant and small-business owner, Bill knows firsthand what neighborhood businesses are up against: rising costs, excessive regulation, permitting delays, and ever-higher taxes and fees that make it harder to invest, hire, and grow.
As Alderman, Bill will cut red tape, improve city services, expand access to capital, and build a City Hall that helps businesses succeed instead of standing in their way.
Safe Streets, Strong Communities
Public safety is the foundation of every thriving neighborhood.
A father of two young children, Bill will work with residents, community organizations, and police to address both violent crime and the day-to-day quality-of-life issues that wear on families and local businesses. Everyone deserves to feel safe walking their street, riding transit, visiting a park, or supporting neighborhood businesses.
With the right leadership, the First Ward can be one of the safest and most dynamic communities in Chicago.
Responsive and Accountable Government
Residents deserve an alderman who listens, communicates, and delivers.
Too often, major decisions affecting our neighborhoods are made before residents and small businesses have a meaningful opportunity to weigh in. Whether it is development, transportation, public safety, or city services, the people most affected should have a seat at the table before decisions are made, not after.
Bill will bring transparency, responsiveness, and accountability back to the office. He will prioritize constituent service, hold regular community meetings, and ensure residents know what is happening in their neighborhoods before, not after, important decisions are made.
City Hall should work for the people of the First Ward, not the other way around.
